Collect 100 skeleton bones and bring back to forest and get a random artifact.
Collect 200 skeleton bones and bring back to forest and get artifact that changes you into a Mummy.

Yep, the Piles of Bones will be used in a future quest.

Become a new Goblin King and repeatedly kill both Healer and Merchant with the spell of Fire Sweep.
 ;D

Unfortunately, since the introduction of mana, you need to complete the game as a Wizard to be able
to do it.

If so, what would be the name of the quest that requires "x" number of piles of bones? Suggest Now. :D

@ Wizard:
"Bonegrinder" and "SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"
 ;)

Anyway, you can always try to cap out your stats, or at least the class-specific stat.
You could also collect every available item and dump them in neat rows at the Forest.

I'd really like to see some alternative to playing past the Goblin King, and I mean one
that isn't made up by a bored player but provided by the game itself. Something like
a Nightmare/Hell mode for characters that have already completed a normal game.

Yeah, I guess the game ends a bit abruptly. Unlocking some hard modes when killing the King might be a good idea. Something like a mode with no merchant and healer or one without stairs up and no recall scrolls?

Maybe a new quest at the end to a never ending tower -see how high you can climb before you die.
Make each  level up substantially harder and harder with a expensive healer/potion/scroll  provider on each level- no buyer -so you must spend your money wisely.

One word - definately!

A "one way ticket" mode would be great, as even with no Healer nor Merchat, players
used to revisit Forest for endless supply of free Mushrooms in older versions.
 ;D

A little idea to "there's no coming back now" mode:
- Let the player keep single item from the character that have just ended normal
game, as a kind of "heirloom".
- Give like 1000 gold to the player (same reasoning as before ) to be spent on additional
starting  equipement (over the default one for chosen class).

Hell, make it 2 distinct modes, one with this heir theme, other totally hardcore with no
extra equipement nor gold.

You could add a random quest generator, with variables, such as slay, collect, find, explore; amount of, specific item or critter, dungeon level; gold, skulls, creatures, etc. With the addition of some extra levels or an infinite dungeon this could stretch it out endlessly.
