New Class: Thief/Rogue + Skills

The three initial classes are excellent, and really capture the essence of roguelikes, but I would like to use a rogue. A fast warrior, with light armor as the archer who emphasizes speed. It would be almost like the current ranger but would use daggers and short swords. It would not use a shield and would not be able to use heavy armor.
Whenever I use the current warrior,  I finish using the heaviest armor possible losing speed, and with the Archer I am very fast but I can not attack at close range, aka Melee.

[Updated: Forget about it, I just get pointed in the right direction. The Archer is able to use daggers from the start.]

Perhaps to make the different a little more clear, the warrior can block with the shield if he is using one or counter attack sometimes, the mage can start using mana (He is extremely overpowered now), the archer can cause bleed sometimes and the rogue could have the disarm skill.

Thoughts? Feedback?

I've considered adding a thief/rogue class, but I'm not sure I would be possible to make it different enough from the ranger. For now I will focus on improving the existing classes, possibly through perks

How about a cleric/priest with heal and powers vs undead? Low combat potential, can't use blades or bows or most magic.

i always thorough the Heal scrolls and wand should hurt the undead. how about a book of life.

Yeah, that'd be fun.

No books of healing tho, too gamebreaking. Maybe some specific anti-undead spell, like Holy Bolt, Smite etc.

As for the classes, I agree with Björn: there's no way of making it stand out without implementing another
type of Class-specific items, abilities or mechanics.

Say, I'd love to see a Monk. No melee weapons but staves, only lightest armor, no spellbooks. Instead, he
would use his own kind of mana, let's say "Ki energy" (with more and more abilities using it unlockable when
leveling up). Being another class with kind of built-in resource management it would sure prove real fun, but
frankly, that would recquire an immense amount of coding.

Plus, with more class-specific item types or more item-restricted classes, there would be a lot of junk items
that you can't use, filling the dungeons.

Yeah i like that idea. I like a character thief just fast like ninja. Appearance have a mask in face, and it focus in speed. Just sharing my idea :) this game rocks!

I just spent an hour @ http://files.dwellergame.com/db/img/ looking at all the different monster and item files hence my new avy... what exactly is monster 99 btw??? also, does adding a rogue class mean we will have 4 little characters in the dweller logo now?? can I extrapolate this to mean that deep into the future we can look forward to seeing a whole gaggle of lil dweller dudes on the logo?? 

oh yeah and you should get some shirts made!!

Monster 99 is a Ghoul.

Nice, but he doesn't fit too well with the rest of the characters imho, very little
contrast with the dungeons' and monsters' colour scheme.

Nice link!! Have all of the monsters made it into the game now?? I can't say I've run into all of them if so... the lil theif model could be a tad more ninja-ish... maybe give him the full facial ninja mask or some shifty thieving eyes.  regardless I still like the idea of having a line of classes.

All the monsters and characters that were listed under that link are already implemented.
If you had problems finding some of those, perhaps you didn't visit the Minotaur Maze or
the Crypt levels? First one branches off at level 3 (counting surface/Forest as level 1) and
the other at level 7 or something along these lines. Look for those brown stairs down.:
