Or, in Roguelike speak, YAVP (yet another victory post).

So, how did you win?  Version?  Class?  Level?  Notable equipment?

For me:  v1.16.7, level 23 Wizard (just did it a minute ago).  Quick amulate of Thot, and some wizard staff that I can't recall (because I can't see a scores screen).

Congratulations! I need to add a function to send/share/copy a character dump to make YAVP more fun.

No wins since 1.17.x I must report... I'm actually happy about that though.  The game has gotten a lot harder and more fun.

Wait, are you kidding me!?

The game is always winnable nowadays! Just a matter of minimal patience to recall once in a while and restock on potions.
That is of course only untill you find a weapon/book of draining...

You should try downloading some of the oldest versions from the repository. No shop, barely any healing items to be found, more ranged enemies, less spells, VAMPIRE LORDS! now THESE were hard.
:D

Android v1.17.10.  Just won playing a Ranger.  Can't put my finger on any specifics, but I liked the (perceived) changes.  Poison is now a legitimate threat early in the game (not so much mid to late game).  Once I got the crossbow as a Ranger, things did get very easy, but that didn't happen until the next-to-last level.

Good job.

I wasnt saying the game isnt winnable just that I havent had a win in a while after getting my 4 consecutive wins.  I was able to get a hold of the book of draining and its indeed VERY helpful... in the older versions my spells never fizzled and my character (I always use the wizard) seemed almost indestructable after reaching a certain level.  Now I'm noticing there are much more traps, my spells actually fail from time to time, and the enemies seem a bit stronger.  I love roguelikes specifically because they are hard to win.  You are definitely right about the usefulness of recall scrolls and by making your moves slowly and more deliberately there is almost no excuse to not get away from a losing battle.  The new spells and items are awesome.  I'm looking forward to even more content and every time is see an update available its almost like christmas for me... Keep up the great work mr admin!  :)

V 17.something. I like the changes. It's not so much about winnable as the grind. I find the new summoning with goblin capt and vampire good for grinding levels, and the GK can be tough if you let him summon some troops. Still, victory is simple with care and patience

Level 25? That's strange, I'm always finishing at 28-3X depending on how many
Scrolls of Knowledge I've manage to find or buy in the meantime.

But then again, I'm really anal about completely uncovering every single map, heh.

I will add functionality to export a character dump (with stats, inventory, kills and quests) so we can get some proper bragging going on in this thread.

I go straight for the prize if I can.  I ascended again this time at around 20.  This was a bit difficult to pull off and I definitely went through things way too fast.  In the end it all came down to charming every monster in the GK hall.  Overall the game is still a bit too easy but all of the basics are there.  Just need to tweak some things.

Excellent, congrats to the win! I'm glad to see the char dump feature being put to good use. I haven't actually managed to get that far myself yet. What did you think of the difficulty further on in the game? Too hard? Too easy?
