I like your ideas here!  especially the "arena" concept... It would be cool to have some sort of side quest where you can enter an arena and then take on sets of enemies in waves kinda.  Not sure how that would work with the programming end but it would be cool.  Maybe the arena could spring up random in-between levels at certain junctions.

I've recently stumbled upon a room which looks like this:

It seems really out of place, like some unfinished work.

Anyway, here's a little thought regarding Dweller dungeons' layout in general:
Once the player learns that corridors and treasure rooms full of traps on every
tile exist, and after familiarising himself with certain room patterns, most traps
are very predictable and easy to aviod. There's 3 possible solutions to this:
Either add a new kind of tile being "Random Trap/Empty", or make rooms which
look very simmilar but have a couple different possible trap patterns, or my
personal favourite - remove most of those preset traps and instead drasticly
increase the spawn-rate for randomly placed traps when a level is generated.

Thanks, that room was odd and didn't really fit in. Not sure how I let that one through...

There's always a bunch of random traps on each level, but yeah, maybe I should increase the number....

Did you change the tileset?
I was about to do some mapping work, but all the fun tiles
like random trap/monster/item are gone now.

When opening the Mapper thru Blog post, it properly links to tileset under:

while when opening one of the links in this thread, it links to the one at:

This other being older thus devoid of additional tiles.

There are some really good ones among those. The only one that won't work is the one called "double turn". The reason for this is that with the current algorithm it could possibly produce two non-connected parts of the dungeon. The limitation (that I might not have mentioned) is that each room needs to be fully connected.

I know they seem monotonous, but I get a feeling that columns
and statues is what the Crypt lacked to make it seem more like
real catacombs.

Things are starting to take on the form of what looks like a well thought out dungeon. Even though its random all the new rooms seem to make the maps in the game more realistic.   1.20.2 is cool so far!

I agree. 20.2 looks great. Something for the room builders, how about a little house for our hero, with places to stash loot instead of having it spread across the forest floor. By the way, mateusz, your new rooms are great. I'd love to see a boardgame version of dweller with all these maps included.

I'm really happy with how some of the new rooms work
with older ones, especially the Crypt ones which really
make the whole level feel more like serious catacombs.

Its becoming harder to design rooms which make sense
with the existing pool being so large already.
