I can't wait to try out the new menu on a touchscreen device.
The old one wasn't very user-friendly and played much better
on a regular numeric keyboard+Dpad phones.
If you remember the sprites from my avatar, know that you're awesome!

Really? New UI needs much more improvement before playing with it on devices less than 12". And I think the old interface is still good on smartphones. But grid view and new inventory screen (when it gets low res version) will be great.

Actually, I am with Mateusz on that one. Current menu is a little irritating.
It sometimes selects something that I don't want, and it is a real problem
when levelling. UP/DOWN/SELECT buttons would be great.

To clarify: I said that new UI need more improvement, not that it looks awful or something. And I don't think that old interface is bad. Maybe I have small enough fingers.

Just the menu, not the whole interface, overall it is fine. The menu sometimes
chooses things I don't want to choose, that's all.

would like it if there would be a little more info about the item, so I would not have to click on every item to know what exactly it is. Maybe, when the cursor is on that item, show a popup about it. However, there is no cursor on touch screens...
i think that wont be possible due to lack of space on smaller screens and the way Björn wants everything to be the same on every machine / resolution. Cursor pop up would have been a good way to solve things but unfortunately as you said there is no such option on touch screens.

I get a lot of crashing when using drop / equip commands using the two buttons on the bottom part of the menus. Anyone else has this problem?

ah and the X button on top of the menus works as "back" to take you to the previous screen but it was actually meant to be a quick key to "return to game".
