Melee Draining
« on: March 22, 2013, 01:45:35 PM »
I was playing as a warrior on version 1.23.2. I found the Black Blade of Whetnall, but every monster I attacked always resisted the draining (other draining melee weapons were always resisted as well). Sooo, is this a bug or melee draining is supposed to be (extremely) infrequent?

Oh yeah, my device is the Nokia E90. B)

Me too. I just got a dagger that says it can drain. I've played two levels without draining anything.

I remember Bjorn mentioning something about the chance to Drain rapidly
dropping the lower enemy HPs are. This was to prevent abuse of this on-hit
effect as a source of free healing.

But for now it only causes Drain on weapons to be useless, since regular
"physical" damage comes first and the remaining HPs have negligible Drain
chance if any. It's been like that for a while, unfortunately.

If you remember the sprites from my avatar, know that you're awesome!

So, will it be fixed? It's a pity that the Black Blade became somewhat useless... :/

Yes, it's fixed in the latest beta.
