Yep, dying crashes the game for me too, tho in a non-fatal way.

mine doesn't crash, can start a new game without any problems but the game over pic is aligned to the left and seems out of place.

Ok, so there's a new beta (1.23.6) with a bunch of very nice intro screens by Shroomarts. This new version is the first release since I rewrote a lot of code dealing with UI elements and there's bound to be problems that I haven't seen yet (the quickslots get a bit cropped for instance). Some stuff should be faster, especially long lists. ALl of the changes since the last real release can be seen here:

Here's a couple minor graphical issues I've caught:

Like in the previous one, when menu entries only consist of single line,
letters like j,g,y etc. have their bottom "tail" cut off.

During the intro scenes, text makes many of the pictures unreadable
by covering them.

Merchant's and Healer's conversation screens, as well as quest texts
and rewards now take whole screen instead of just a couple centered
lines.

Text needs black background so it can be read properly, also the pics can be made to scroll upwards so even the text has black bg people can still see the whole picture as it scrolls. Due to testing on a laptop i had lots of space for text and pics.

intro screens background should be the same colour as the border of the pics or i can update the pics so border colour will be the same as your bg. this should stop the borders from looking ugly.

did you convert the intro pics into gifs? there is a slight distortion with colours in some of the pics.

similar glitches with text as mateusz points out
death screen is now in the center but slightly covers game over text at the bottom and the top bar

More of a question than a comment, but here goes.Say I have a block rate of 100%,is it that creatures can still hit me?Cause,I died fighting GK with 100% block rate to lv3 orc,so I was wondering if it is impossible to get perfect defense.Other than that, I feel that venom blade is too op,hitting 5 times in a row with each attack dealing 7 to 8 dmg before blocking your opponent'one attack seems a little bit unfair, don't ya think?

Defence isn't the same as block rate. Having 100 Defence doesn't
mean you've got 100% block chance. Block is dependant on shield's
Defence and should be 3x shield's Defence (so a shield with Defence
of 10 should provide a 30% chance to block). This seems to be a bit
higher, so I may be wrong, but it certainly never reaches 100%.

On a sidenote - there's no amount of Defence that would make you
invulnerable either.

Weapons' Attack Speed is now fixed, and attacking with a Dagger
(including Venomblade) now properly takes 60% of a "turn" instead
of 20%.

@Bjorn:

There's something wrong with the latest version - after loading a
saved game, Dweller does not react to any input (can't move nor
open menus) even tho the characters animate, floating dots above
unaware enemies still work, etc. I have to restart the game a couple
times to get it working (J2ME, Nokia C5).

P.S.

Is it me, or the Scrolls of Enchant are far more common now and also
often appear in the shop?

Ah, and great job on sanely priced single-use Arrows (Broadheaded,
Marksman's, "of X"). I reall like how one can easily afford a couple
pieces to prepare for a bossfight and other tough situations.

P.P.S. Can't put those Arrows into quickslots anymore, tho. :(

Sorry for double post, but I keep finding more and more issues and don't
want them to get missed in the messy previous post.

- Message History doesn't fit the screen and I can't see the most recent
entries while using it. Can't scroll it either.

- Weapons with additional Fire/Poison/Stun, etc. are missing appropriate
suffixes, and are simply named "Fine", "Deadly" and alike.

- Crossbows deal no damage at all to the first target. So if there's only
one target, firing them simply wastes time doing nothing.

- Broadhead Arrows can't be put into quickslots. Other types work fine.

- It seems as if the summoning takes 2 turns for the player. When using
a Dog's whistle, it gains 2 charges before the player regains controll. At
first I though that maybe it's an error with how the charges are replenished
but I used the Horn of the Warrior the following turn and it also gained 2
charges right after use and the Whistle went from 2 to 4. This also explains
why Allies seem to get extra turns right after being summoned.

Dweller 1.23.6 beta has been released. The new version solves several of the recent issues with graphics rendering. There may still be problems but they should be minor.

The new version adjusts speed stat impact again:

1 point in speed = 5% speed increase

The melee weapon weight also impact attack speed. An item with a weight of 5 is considered a normal speed weapon and doesn't affect attack speed at all. Each point above/below the average weight alters the attack speed by 5%. This means that a Dagger (weight = 1) is 20% faster, a Short Sword (weight = 3) is 10% faster, while a Battleaxe (weight = 12) is 35% slower.

PS I'll look into the feedback you gave in your most recent post Mateusz

Still can't assign to quick slot when playing a ranger. Also, arrows are not equipped at the start of the game.

I stuck on intro screen, it said "PRESS ANY...", I tried every key but nothing happened. I test on x2-01 and Asha 302

Yep, got the same thing.

At first I didn't notice because I had a saved game from a previous version (1.22.6).
Then after killing the GK, the game got stuck at the main view (town) and stopped
responding to any key presses, so I forced it to close (red handset "end" button)
and after restarting the application, couldn't get past the intro.

The game doesn't register any keypresses during intro sequence and just waits for
a couple seconds inbetween the pictures. After the last one is displayed ("press any
key"), there's no way to get into the game as the keyboard refuses to work.

There's a couple minor graphical issues still, but I don't have the time to hunt them
down and take screenshots at the moment.

Same here, can't see lower entries in many menus.
The "select bar" moves between them properly, just offscreen.

Anyways, sorry for my stagnation - first days in my new job,
lots of training and crazy hours, I'm half dead at the moment.
