I have idea.
I have laptop with touchscreen and sometimes I wanna play with using only my touchscreen.
But position of D-pad isn't very comfortable. I must to change my focus from center of screen to D-pad because I must to know what button I push. It's not good for eyes. Maybe it's like training for my eyes but I feel uncomfortable. :)
What about place this panel around of character?
I'll place a picture how it can look comfortable for playing tomorrow. ;)
My music makes me feel free & makes people feel melanholic and depressive.

I write metalcore & electronic music. :)

I would recommend that you disable the d-pad via the settings menu and simple touch in the direction you want to move. It's the same right?

Ah, ok I see. But do you really need to use the on-screen d-pad? You could simply click/tap/touch in all the directions around your character and achieve the same thing, couldn't you? The only real use for the d-pad is on a handheld device when you hold it in landscape mode with both hands.

I have Windows XP and can't to use ttouchscreen.
On Windows 7,8 I can't find drivers for my laptop, it's very old.
And because of it I must to use D-Pad. :)

Lily, I'm sorry but I don't really understand what's wrong. Are you saying that you can't use the mouse or your touchpad on your laptop?

:D

Screen of my laptop can rotate for 180* and close.
So, because it is not touchscreen, I use mouse and D-Pad :D
But it's not comfortable to use D-Pad when it's placed on left-bottom corner because I forever change my focus from center of screen to D-Pad.

And I have idea - place D-Pad around of player :)
Normal explanation? :)

Lily, just go to Options and disable the D-pad instead. The game will
allow you to move by clicking on neighbouring tiles (which is basicly
what you're referring to - a D-pad around the character). You can also
use pathfinding and just click any tile and the character will go there
if possible. Or simply use keyboard arrows to move (or any other keys
you have defined for movemet in Options -> Show/Define Keys).
If you remember the sprites from my avatar, know that you're awesome!
