1.22.11 Feedback
« on: October 29, 2012, 12:05:28 PM »
- When the player misses, the floating "Miss" shows up above
both the player and his enemy.
- Damage or poison from traps is shown before the message
about the trap being sprung.
- New spike trap gfx are a little weird, they look kinda "flat" and
light is applied to their right, even tho the rest of the Dweller
gfx is drawn with the light coming from top direction.
- It seems as if some new Forest "rooms" were added and the
overworld looks much better now, being less of a rectangle,
but it also creates some weird stuff like this:

walled-out area which shouldn't even be visible at all.

More to come (hopefully not!).

EDIT:

- I've just found out that the Banish part of summoning items
can easily fail with low enough magic score. My Warrior had
about -20 Magic and failed at this a lot. Funny part is that when
a summoning item successfully summons an ally but fails with
banishing the previous one, it will create more and more copies
of that ally up to the point when Banishing succeds and all the
clones are removed at once.

EDIT2:

- Pearlescent Soulstone doesn't charge itself up when not in
the trinket slot. This was fixed for all the items gaining charges
with passing turns, but apparently not for those which gain
them on kills.
- Another problem with that item is that it can't be equipped
normally and needs to be dropped and picked up while having
an empty trinket slot (chosing autoequip from popup). This is
because attempting to "use" it while unequipped will trigger the
item selection for enchanting, but then warn about insufficient
charges.
- There's also a problem with Warrior being completely shafted
when it comes to using SoE or the Soulstone, made another
thread for it .

EDIT3:

- Stun is still imbalanced. Sure it isn't applied in all cases, but
when it is, it can last anywhere from 2 to bazilion turns, easily
reaching 50. It looks as if the creature gets a "stunned" debuff
and doesn't get to move untill it "rolls out" of it, but the chances
of succesfully breaking the stun condition are abysmally small.

EDIT4:

- Not really a bug, but a funny feature: any pressure plate that
has a Statue aligned with it will create a Living Armor when it's
triggered. Meaning that a pressure plate which was supposed
to only serve for opening a treasure-room gate can summon a
Living Armor from a Statue which was just a decoration in its
neighbouring room!

EDIT5:
- When a Wand or Soulstone is recharged via appropriate scroll,
it moves from the quickslot it was assigned to, to the last one.

Thank you. Excellent list. I have fixed all the things noted here. I'll release a new version soon.

I'm not that sure about Wands/Soulstone getting moved to the last
quickslot after using a Scroll of Recharge on them, but I think they
get moved to next available slot.

Anyway, just realised that the Soulstone gets unequipped after using
it to enchant an item. And with current problems regarding equipping
it back - it means it has to be dropped for auto-equip on pickup.

It got moved to the next available quickslot. I've solved this and I'll look into it being unequipped as well.

Found a Deadly Crossbow with Slow enchant wchich wasn't called "of slowing",
just a regular Deadly. This seems to be fixed for the remaining ranged weapons,
just not for Crossbows.

I don't know, is it bug or not, but my warrior's HP don't want to increase, and stand on 99 hitpoints - its a limit, or bug(just got level up, select "+3 hitpoints" and my hp was 99 and left 99 after level up:( )?
Every Ooze() had a maniacal dream: destroy all heavy doors(). Killing oozes you save the door's life XD

I just have meet warrior №2(When I meet first he give me quests with reward "horn of warrior"). This(№2) just have 1 dialogue line - "Farewell!". It's norm, then multiply copies of warrior appear in game?

Yeah, it's "normal", just not really follows the common sense.
Bjorn has explained that a while ago:
Warrior cell is just a random room like any other, it can get
generated more than once (rarely) or not at all. It's just that
the questline connected to it is unique and after finishing it, the
"new Warrior" becomes just a quest-less neutral NPC, so he
behaves in the same way as Instructors do after finishing their
"quests", that is - only replies "Farewell!" with no other dialog
options.

You can always sign my petition to introduce some global flag
or variable which keeps track of "used NPC rooms" so that they
won't get generated more than once.
 ;)

As for HPs, they've got hard cap at 100 and can only be raised
to 100 if the level up takes them directly to 100 and not above
or it will have no effect. Another problem with this is that when
+HP items are used and the character would reach more than
100, they become 100 and removing the items will cause the
loss of basic HPs to a value of 100-(total items' bonus).

Other stats are not affected by this (I tried getting literally like
hundreds of points in them, didn't hit any cap) and the HP issue
should be less common now when there's no automatic HP gain
on level ups. For now, just pretend the issue doesn't exist and
use up your points on other stuff. 60HP is more than enough if
you got some Speed and decent Attack, no need for Defence
above what heavy armor gear gives, either.
