1.22.2 Feedback
« on: August 29, 2012, 10:24:41 PM »
Now if I start a new game with my rogue, the Dog's whistle isn't available with the look/target option if it's already equiped.
I need to "use" it. (And after that I'll have the dog, and I can choose the whistle in the target mode too.)

Anyway, it would be great, if the summoning would be better a bit. Now sometimes my dog is summoned into the lava/poisoned water if I'm standing next to them.
(Or into an another room, if I summon him in a corridor.)

We can have again 2 (or more?) Quiver of arrows.

I poisoned an ooze with the Venomblade.

(I tried to enchant one of my items, but nothing happened. It's evil. I wasn't this sad when my character died.

I just got disarmed by an orc while standing over water. My venomblade fell in the water and was lost forever. Is this intentional or just a brilliantly evil sideeffect of the water tile?

Bookshelves create random items of all types, not just books.

"You need Locked door to unlock Skeleto key", hahaha. Yea,
this should be the other way round. Anyway, I don't really
get the idea behind those keys under current circumstances.
Locked doors can be opened really easily, so spending 100
gold and having additional trips to the Forest to buy them
one at a time is kinda useless. This and there's no choice
whether to attempt to pick the lock or use a key, so the key
gets wasted on the very first locked doors instead of when
it might be (unlikely) needed to pass a door quickly.

I love the new Sewer walls! Seeing them however just asks
to upgrade other wall types as well. I also got a feeling
that some doortypes are still missing in the Sewers. Not all
rooms had doors where they should have.
If you remember the sprites from my avatar, know that you're awesome!

Yes, you can have as many Quivers as you like, but there really is no point.

You poisoned an ooze? Was it a game started in 1.22.2?

Which item did you try to enchant? I will add "It can not be enchanted" to the description of items you cannot enchant. I am at the moment unable to hide the "Use" option when using a Scroll of Enchant due to how the code is designed when it comes to applying effects of one item on another.

Yes, evil sideeffect. I'll add a message about this as well.

Locked doors will starting from next version be locked until you either a) unlock the door with a key b) pick the lock if you have the required thieves' tools c) bash the door open with a big enough weapon (above certain weight)

I'll look into the bookshelf and missing door issue

Started in 1.22.1, but I upgraded it and met just after that with the ooze.

I tried to enchant Thot's amulet, and there was the "it can not be enchanted" message.
I tried after that to enchant my Deadly recurve bow. The message said "Nothing happened", and I lost the scroll.
(It happened once with me with a potion of change, so I thought, it's rarely can be. But I wrote it, because I'm not sure if it' a bug.)

Enchanting sometimes simply fail, from what I recall.

Correct, it's rare, but sometimes nothing happens. Maybe this is confusing?

Not really confusing. I was just said.
It makes sense, so I didn't think that it could be a bug. This is why is tried to put it in "( )", but I forgot the last one. My bad.

some games i play the better the item (rare) you try to enchant the more likely it is to be totally destroyed or looses all its enchantments -

if i use inspect to open a chest, the item appears underneath you instead of on the chest and then you inspect the empty chest.. i doubt this is intentional?
