I had someone who offered to translate to Spanish but unfortunately the person never finished. Unless you know someone who understands English and Spanish well, there won't be a Spanish version.

Thanks for the reply, well if you don't have someone who speaks English and Spanish well I want to offer to do so since I speak English and my native language is the Spanish I have good fluids with English and the separate Spanish say... This also brings more people and possibilities to increase the branches of the game itself more ideas more people and can maybe have a considerable donations increase since in argentina, this game brings much interest. You say to my I would like to be him to do so with the will translate it in Spanish the game. What do you think?

Hmmmm... so are you sure you're not typing your posts in spanish and then having them translated by a browser or something into english before you post?  My mom teaches spanish so I'm a bit familiar with the language and how some things would sound when translated literally and your posts read just like spanish translated to english in the literal sense.
When in doubt.  Scroll of Recall

exactly so only use it for few words since the
translator gives me a small hand so you can
understand well. Does that evil come that? No? I
don't think so. Use aid from other places so that
others can understand well what one says. Do for
that are not? These your familiar with the
Spanish? Well talk a little so see you yourself

in Spanish. Bueno, Hola Que Tal Jaja Por Lo Que Lei Tu Mamá Te Da Clases De Español Asique quizas Entiendas Lo que Te Estoy Diciendo Ahora, Nose Talves Tienes Skype Y podremos Hablar Por Ahí En Españo/Castellano Para Charlar Que te Parece eh? jaja Bueno Espero Que Hallas Entendido Algo, Ya Que Es Mi Idioma Nativo Y Lo Hablo Cada Día Desde Que Naci Y el Ingles Bueno lo Se Hablar Porque Es Uno de Los Idiomas Que Es Obligatorio Tanto En La Secundaria Como en La Primaria Aveces En Los Jardines Privados Ya Se enseña El Ingles, Pero Te Digo Algo, No Le Veo Ningun Mal usar Un Poco el Traductor En El Caso Del Ingles Porque No le Hace Ningun mal Solo es Para Que Me Puedan Entender Mejor Y Sepan A que Me Quiero Referir Por Mas Que Sea Algo Medio tonto Pero Bueno.

Do I get? Because maybe some words not the
know. luck :)

I didn't claim fluency in spanish.  I just said my mom taught it and I understand how it looks when it's translated literally like when you translate "hace frio" literally it comes out as "it makes cold."  Really though it means the weather is cold out.

I can gather enough from your posts to understand them though.  I say go for it if you want to translate dweller to spanish... just don't use an online translator!!  ;D

I do have skype but like I said unfortunately I don't think I can hold a good conversation in spanish.  Thats cool though I have heard that a lot of countries do make english a mandatory second language.  In the states we usually have a choice between spanish and french.  I chose spanish but at this point in my life all I can really do is insult your mother and ask where the bathroom is... and I know a bunch of random words.  ::)

1) - do not understand what you mean

2) -good as you say. Not what it needs the translator
already really. but it is clear only use it so that you understand me
a little better !!

3) - If you know random words it is question of uniting
them and ways to phrases. Es Muy facil :)

Mhmm, to think of that, I was considering finally making a polish
translations for quite a while, but then I found some problems.

See, in my language, there's a SEVEN grammatical CASES which
also differ depending on item's/person's GENDER and the syntax
is very different as well, sometimes same phrasemes will have
completely different syntax depending on the case and gender
(appart from pre and suffixes distinguishing them).

I have no idea whether Dweller uses different cases and alike
in its text sources and they just look the same in english or is it
just single case for every entry, etc.

Say, for example Fallout had all its dialog texts doubled for both
possible character genders and there were hidden comments
telling the potential translator which option is for male character
and which is for female. Even tho something like "what have you
done?" sounds the same in english no matter at whom this is
adressed, in languages like mine, 2 versions would be recquired
for adressing a male and female, etc.

Syntax is another story, since things like magical items' prefixes
would have to be sliced into two parts, say a Swift Warrior's
Sword would be "Szybki Miecz Wojownika" meaning loosely
"Swift Sword of the Warrior" to be anywhere close gramatical
correctnes, so as you can see this is kinda hard.

Could you give me a hint or two how these text in Dweller work?

If there's no way to help it, I can always try to make it case-less
with only one grammatical aspect and voice all across the board
kinda like report messages.

Phew, speaking about grammar of one language using terms
from another is damn HARD!

The language support in Dweller is very basic and anything even slightly more complicated than English will be hard to do. I'm aware of the fact that this will be a problem in many languages. German is one language that will cause problems, Slavic languages is another group that will cause problems (although Russian seem to be fine).

There's a single version of each sentence, with tokens that are replace with item and monster names to create dynamic strings: "You dodge @0 attack" where @0 will be replaced with the name of the monster that you dodge. Each language is free to move the replacement tokens within each translated string.

When it comes to items and prefix and suffix it works like this: "a @0Dagger@1" where @0 is all of the item prefixes and @1 are the suffixes. There is no way to split up the prefix and make part of it a suffix as you need to do.

Ok, I guess I can try anyway. Can you add me as a translator
of polish version on that site and give me a couple hints as to
how it works?

I've sent the request email.

Cool, you've been invited. It's fairly simple really. Everything is done in the browser. On the left you get the English master copy and on the right you enter the translated versions. Click save after each entered translation. This should be the direct link to Polsih: http://gengo.com/string/p/dweller-1/edit/slave/dweller/pl

Well... I didn't want to open a new thread to say that so I'll do it here. I'm started translating Dweller to Spanish. I thought it was a good idea to comment here in the forums.

I'll do my best!
