I was thinking about all the typical RPG bosses and how
the final fights usually looks, and it became really obvious
how easy the Goblin King is to defeat.
Usually players challenge dragons, giants, epic monsters,
gods even, and have far inferior stats to their adversaries.
In Dweller, killing the final boss is not much different than
smacking a Vampire or a Wraith.
I'm not saying he needs more Attack, Defence or Speed,
but definately more HPs! I'm thinking 3 digit number here,
preferaly something like 200. This and some abilities that
would make the fight more interesting, like using a random
spell from a larger pool, healing once in a while, using some
kind of a shield or an aura to boost his allies.
Think about it - a player can debuff him with Slow, Poison
and Disarm (Flail), has unlimited supply of healing potions,
can teleport away at will to heal up and kill off the guards
one by one, player can even summon powerfull allies on
his own! And what can GK do? Annoying disarm which only
bothers Warriors and summoning creatures which won't
help a lot if their master can go down in 3 turns.
What do you guys think? Anyone else up for an epic
GRANDE FINALE?
