Bugs and Feedback / The Wizard

Last week I played as the Wizard for the first time ever. I think he is way too powerful. Example: Book of Fire Sweep/Book of Flames plus Goblin Mask = God mode. Found the Goblin Mask in the crypt, checked if spells still do damage (books affecting multiple targets indeed do), walked straight downstairs and killed the Goblin King without any resistance. In addition, his ranged fire is nearly unlimited, so compared to the other two classes he barely ever gets poisoned. And one hit with the Charred Book of Fire will do to set even a Wraith on fire, no need to hit him twice, he'll burn to death anyway. In my new game I chose to create a Wizard/Warrior crossover. I use leather armour/boots, a metal helm and a shortsword and spend most XP on attack and defense to make it more interesting.

Hello there!

I found a few bugs concerning the summoning of allies in the latest version (1.24.18). I played with the warrior.

-I summoned the allied warrior with the horn. He stepped into a trapdoor. I summoned him again and he appeared twice. For a few moves my player disappeared, only the HP bar was shown. When he reappeared, it was really fine having two warriors. So this is not a bug but a blessing. Unfortunately this doesn't happen everytime.

-The other day I summoned my warrior ally and called for more reinforcements with the bag of monsters. The summoned monster was hostile and attacked me and my friend! This also doesn't happen everytime. Maybe this is intended by Björn or maybe my warrior failed to summon due to lack of mana?

-I mostly use weapons that affect multiple targets. So I always kill my warrior ally. I think he should be immune to 'friendly fire' since monsters don't hit each other either. The warrior ally is so sensitive that he gets hit and dies when I pick up items next to him (even if there are no enemies in sight). So he seems to get hit by me no matter WHICH action I take on the neighbouring tile.

Note: In the last case I was on the first level of the dungeon, so there's no chance my ally was poisoned or on fire or anything else that could have possibly killed him in the same moment I picked up an item. This happened a lot so far and I am pretty sure he died from my action and not due to any enemy effects like fire or poison or drain. In spite of that I would prefer a symbol above his head indicating that he's on fire (so I could run him into water) or poisoned or else.

The user makiki asked via the shoutbox, why Florian and Jordan were fighting. How about this: Once they were adventurers who roamed the land together. One day they found a magical artifact and gained a lot of power. While Jordan used his powers to keep the world safe, Florian was drawn to the dark side and became evil (i mean, the Hell Cloak of Florian IS evil somehow). They fought each other and in the end their magical artifact was gone, bringing the Goblin King to power after he found it many decades or even centuries later. The artifact is the jewel in his crown. Using it in the same evil way as Florian, he controls the undead in the crypt. Maybe the Lich King is Florian, doomed to rule his kingdom of the hopeless, sworn to the keeper of the jewel - the Goblin King.

Maybe someone already has collected all the stories around the unique items?

Bugs and Feedback / Scroll of Recall

The Scroll of Recall teleports the player back to the deepest visited dungeon now. Obviously technically the Sewers is the deepest possible dungeon. I think it was better to teleport back to the last visited dungeon. It is a little annoying to teleport from the Crypt to the surface and then walk all the way back unless you want to travel to the Sewers.

Hello! I am sorry if this has been reported somewhere else already, but I could not find it. I have version 1.24.16 now and the Minotaur just doesn't appear anymore. Only if I switch levels with a Scroll of Recall, it appears right next to the stairs when I jump back to the labyrinth. I tried 4 times and the result was always the same.
