I'll repeat my answer from your previous question:

Dweller is a game that features "perma death". This means that when you die you die (and hopefully learn something from the experience). Perma-death is quite common among games such as Dweller and it's not something that I plan to change.

NOTE: The game should autosave when you quit and load again when you start the game. But, as I said, when you die your save is gone.

The mirrors are currently not doing anything. I had intended for them to have a purpose, but never got around to actually coding anything.

The portals should work and bring you back out from a side-branch of the dungeon. Doesn't anything at all happen when you step on it?

Have you searched all of the main dungeon? There might be some hidden area containing stairs that lead further down. The minimap is useful for spotting unexplored areas.

I hear you. The game is not in a good state at the moment. I'm sorry about that.

Some background and explanation: The game was built as a game for J2ME phones many many years ago. I have since then added an Android version, but the problem is that the game is running on a crappy home made game engine that makes changes hard to make. My recent change with the UI and the move to hardware accelerated rendering was made in an attempt to improve the Android version, but for many players the game has become worse. It is very unlikely that I will actually be able to fix this without a massive effort, and I honestly don't have the time to do so right now. I have a full time job as a developer and I'm the father of two kids. Dweller is a hobby project, one that I have loved, but as it is now it only feels like a burden.

I'm currently working on another game with Shroom and I use a very nice cross platform game engine. I have toyed with the idea of rewriting Dweller for that engine, but it will take some time. I honestly do not know what to do at this point. I am considering to remove Dweller from the Playstore and disable the forum since I am no longer proud of the current state of Dweller.

I'm sorry to hear that the game is so slow on your device. It runs reasonably well on an old HTC Legend (about same age as your LG phone I think).

Thank you for the feedback. I will make a few changes in the next version:

* Selling straight from inventory will only give you half of the gold you would have received from selling to a merchant
* Monsters will drop less gold. A stack of gold (monsters can have several stacks of gold) was previously between 10 and 20 gold. It will now be between 1 and 11 gold.
* The Sell, Put in backpack and Use popup will be shown every time you pick up an item that you can use, even if you already have an item of that type equipped.

When it comes to arguments about realism and selling stuff to nothing I think it's quite ok to keep it as it is. A lot of games use the same mechanic.

I've always been under the impression that going back and forth to the surface is a chore that takes some of the fun out of the game, but maybe I'm wrong...

Yes, I have considered adding more NPC sellers, possibly some specialized ones, like you suggest.. I've actually thought of putting some in dungeon as well, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

Yes, trap braziers are a possiility. I must admit though that I have considered removing braziers as I find far off light sources an annoyance when pathfinding since monsters in those far off places still affect my ability to path find (I could simple have a ranged limit for when pathfinding is prevented due to visible monsters).

Insta-kill sounds almost too dangerous! I'd like to get more variation among the monsters though, so you're thinking of adding to the monster pool is good, but maybe the existing monsters should be given more variation as well?

There's a 1/9 chance of any chest being a mimic, starting from dungeon level 3. Let me know when you find one!
